Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow. . .

Hosted on a forum or website, a weekly tournament would be held, picking a celebrity (from film would work best) to work from.
Users would then take part in the competition, styling their hair from a character that the actor/actress has portrayed in any of their roles. The person who achieves the closest/most accurate or best result wins, and blogs a short tutorial on how they managed to reach the full effect.

If the celebrity was Brad Pitt for example, users could choose to style their hair after his roles in films such as Troy, Fight Club, Inglorious Basterds etc.
This would be a good way to get people experimenting, having fun and most definitely give them a great excuse to play with Shockwave products!

I like the sound of this, although I think a physical prize of some sort might be seen as more desirable, such as a free product (whichever one they used to create the style, for example). I think that this would be quite fun to do though! Any excuse to play with my hair is one I love! Haha.

Totally :) A free product prize could be a great incentive to get people involved! People like to dress up, this could be a fun, cheap and easy way to promote styles, products and get some decent community feedback :)

I agree and think that a physical prize might be required to get enough people involved to make it worth while

Oooh, very good! I like that it's focused on one celebrity a week, but there's choice in which style you create (depending on the film) A bit like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind where Kate Winslet has several styles and colours. It would be good to see peoples take on this. I'd definitely enjoy myself re-creating a look!

People could guess which character the person was going for with their look as well, which I think would add some more competition to it, especially if the actor/actress has had several similar roles.

This could be fun, it's a way of getting people thinking and playing around with their styles! You could select a celebrity and choose a look from their filmography or you could select a film and let people select any characters from said film! That way it's open (and easier) to all genders to take part each time.
